Bible Study Leader Announced

ECG is pleased to announce that Rev Pete Phillips will be joining us in Scarborough as the key Bible teacher for the week. Pete works at St Johns college, Durham. Pete describes himself as a Postmodern Christian Evangelical Methodist who tries to avoid labels, with left of centre political views. He is married to Theresa Phillips. Here is Pete's quick description of himself:

I'm into the New Testament (especially John's Gospel), technology, literary theory, postmodernism, football and that kind of stuff. I am married to Theresa with three great kids (and a Westie called Grace). I'm a Christian and love the whole church thing, which is good because I also work for the Methodist Church in the UK. My formal job titles are: Director of Research for CODEC at St John's College, Durham University and Secretary to the Faith and Order Committee of the Methodist Church.

Scarborough Spa

This year we are excited to be moving to the wonderful  ‘The Spa’ in Scarborough, which is largest multi purpose venue on the North East Coast. The Spa is unique among British venues, not only because of it’s sea front location but also because of the variety of facilities housed within the  fantastic Victorian Building.
